Ca' Pietra Antique Burgundy Terracotta Tile 15x15cm. Reclaimed tiles with a textured finish for your floor.
Reclaimed tiles
These Ca' Pietra terracotta floor tiles are, in fact, 100-year old reclaimed French terracotta floor tiles that are steeped in history and ooze farmhouse chic. As beautiful as they are authentic, these square floor tiles offer your home a rustic charm that is easy to maintain and authentically highlights the look and feel of reclaimed terracotta.
Right at home in a period property but also perfect for adding a little je ne sais quoi to your contemporary abode. And as each batch varies slightly in size and colour, you know your finished floor will add a unique touch to your home.
What are terracotta tiles suitable for?
These rustic floor tiles are great for indoor use. Style as living room flooring, lay as kitchen floor tiles or hallway tiles or simply put anywhere you want to cast those warming terracotta tile hues.
Terracotta's earthy tones bring warmth and a 'homely' feel to wherever you lay them. Rich reds and burnt oranges easily complement cream wall tiles, beige wall tiles and many other wall tiles colour palettes, so you can enjoy the 'baked earth' charm for a lifetime.
Or, take on an old meets new vibe and pair these authentic reclaimed tiles with crisp, sleek modern kitchen cabinets or dark walls, metal side tables and big indoor planters.
Terracotta floor benefits
There's a big reason why this is one of the oldest architectural materials; durability. Made from natural clay and set in extreme temperatures, these terracotta tiles are incredibly hardwearing, (and so unlikely to chip) while also being low maintenance and easy to clean, once sealed.
Terracotta floor tiles are claimed to be the best flooring for underfloor heating. The porous nature of clay tiles allows heat to travel quickly and efficiently throughout your room and maintains heat long after your underfloor heating has turned off.
Non slip floor tiles
Tiles classified as an anti-slip floor tile are assigned an ‘R’ value which runs along a scale from R9 (not tested but manufactured to a minimum standard) all the way through to R13 (the highest slip resistance). As Ca' Pietra's Antique terracotta tiles have an R11 slip rating, it is regarded as safe for fitting in all areas, both wet and dry, including bathrooms, wetrooms and kitchens and even public toilets and swimming pools.
These tiles are supplied in the raw condition they are reclaimed in and may require intense cleaning before laying or grouting if you desire a cleaner finish when installed.
Please note that while we take every effort to accurately display each tile, variations in screen resolution, lighting and different production batches may affect your viewing. We recommend requesting a FREE tile sample to help you purchase the right tile for your home or business.
