Our range of porch tiles

Our collection of porch tiles includes a broad selection of tiles suited to entranceways.

Porches often see a lot of foot traffic, making a durable, high-quality surface essential. They’re also a
prominent location that can benefit hugely from the visual appeal of tiles, which pose a stylish, eye-catching welcome to any home.

Our range of porch tiles includes many different styles, including patterned, solid colour, and textured finishes. These tiles are porcelain or vitrified ceramic, ensuring that your chosen design remains sharp over many years of exposure to foot traffic and the elements.

Among our porch tiles is a selection from Dorset Wooliscroft, with these tiles featuring anti-slip properties – which is indicated by slip ratings of R11 or higher. While these tiles enhance safety in your porch area by reducing the risk of slipping, there’s no compromise on style, with Dorset Wooliscroft offering an array of different finishes and colours.

You can also find a full collection of outdoor tiles at Tile.co.uk, allowing you to completely transform your outdoor space.

Porch Tiles – FAQs

  • Yes, you can paint porch tiles by using special paint designed for tiles that see a lot of foot traffic. However, a drawback is that the finish won’t quite be as sharp and eye-catching as an original tile.

You’ll need to clean your porch before painting, removing any dirt or debris with a brush or jet washer as well as using a tile cleaning solution.

You can then apply your paint – which is something you’ll need to do roughly every year, as the paint will flake and crack over time, especially in the areas where people walk. This is the other downside of painting porch tiles instead of using original tiles.

  • Porcelain tiles are often used for outdoor porch steps, as they’re porous and hard-wearing.

All our outdoor tiles offer anti-slip ratings of R11 or higher – indicating an anti-slip finish.

We also have step tread tiles by Dorset Woolliscroft which are ideal for finishing a porch step thanks to their grooved profile and bullnosed edge.

  • The number of porch tiles you will need depends on the size of the porch you’re looking to cover.

We have a handy floor area calculator that can help you work out how many porch tiles you’ll need for your project.
